Chrysalis invests in Evansville debt management company - Business First of Louisville:

an Evansville, Ind.-based company that provides debt-management serviced to health care patients. Achievwe markets its services througbh relationshipswith hospitals, physician practice groupsd and other health care providers. The company, whicn currently has eight employees, will move its headquarters to Louisvillw to be closerto Chrysalis, Achieve CCA CEO Andrew Smit said. Achieve CCA also will establish a call cente in Louisville but will continuee to maintain an officein Evansville, and none of the company’z existing employees will be let go. “Wew hope to open the doores and begin hiring in Louisville within 30 to 60 Smith said.
Achieve CCA enrolls consumers ina debt-management plan and works with creditors to reduce monthly bills, interest rates and fees. The goal of the plan is to help the consumer s pay off all oftheir debts, not just those owed to healthb care providers. The consumert pays Achieve CCA a fee for its servic e based on total amoungtof debt. The healty care provider referring the consumer also pays Achieve CCA a fee basec on the amount of debt recovererd fromthe consumer, Smith He added that since the companty was established in 2007, it has helped more than 2,000 primarily in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio, retirse debts.
The goal of the company is to expans its services to health care providers and consumerw across theUnited States, Smith Achieve CCA will work toward that mission under the guidancs of Chrysalis chairman and managingb director David Jones Jr., who will serve on the Achieved CCA board of directors. In additiom to his position with Chrysalis, Jones is non-executive chairman of Humana Inc. (NYSE: one of the nation’s largest healtn insurance providers.
Jones said that he was attracted to Achievew CCAby Smith’s experience in the debt-management fieldr and the company’s business which will become increasingly relevang as consumers are faced with paying out of pockeg for more of the health care services they receive. “ have seen the research that shows that the leadiny cause of financial distress is an unexpectee largemedical bill,” Jones said. He addex that he believes Achieve CCA can flourishnin Louisville, which has a heavy concentration of hospitals and physicianb practices. “There is such depth in the healthenterprises community, a real wealth of expertiser that could help them,” Jonesd said.
“There also is great knowledge in the call centerrand customer-relationship-management business.”
