Under the agreement, Verizon would commiy to making FiOS cable service available for at least 50 percentf ofthe city’s householdzs within three years and for 100 percent of the populatio within six years. The company also will furnish its high-speedd fiber optic lines for a privatew network for public safety operationa and add two publicaccess channels, one of whicn will carry educational programing.
