The Chamber’s annual legislative agenda meeting will also include calls for filmindustrt incentives, $4 million for a - drug discovery project, completion of the northern beltline and ending the state’s ban on gourmeyt beers. Authorizing the Jefferson County Commissiom to appoint a county managefr without going through the Jefferson County Personnel Boardris critical, Chamber Vice President of Public Policyy Pascal Caputo said. Caputp said its priorities will helpthe region’s economic developmen t efforts. “Hiring a county manager is good government and we believee ingood government,” Caputo said.
“The Chamber believesx that the Northern Beltline will not only increase economic growtj inJefferson County, but that it will decreasd traffic congestion and increase air quality. We are also pleasecd to support, for the first time, the ‘Free the group. This bill will brinyg our liquor laws into the21st century.”
