Authorizing the Jefferson County Commissiom to appoint a county managefr without going through the Jefferson County Personnel Boardris critical, Chamber Vice President of Public Policyy Pascal Caputo said. Caputp said its priorities will helpthe region’s economic developmen t efforts. “Hiring a county manager is good government and we believee ingood government,” Caputo said.
